Electric power supply is an indispensable part of contemporary life. We need electric power not only in the households; but also industry, agriculture, the various services and transportation would not operate without electric power either. Electric power can be generated, transported and utilized in environment friendly ways as well.
In compliance with the environment protection regulations of the EU member states, Hungary is also modernizing its energy generation system on an ongoing basis. In the case of the traditional - coal and gas fired - power plants this means the use of equipment which decreases the emission of polluting materials. In addition to this, the so called renewable energies, like water, wind and sun play an increasingly important role in electric power generation. The electric power generated in the power plants is supplied to the consumers through long-distance conduits or earth cables.
The main objective of ÉMÁSZ Nyrt., as a market-oriented, European power supplier, is to live in harmony with the environment in which it operates in addition to obtaining and maintaining the satisfaction of its clients, employees and owners. A safe power supply protecting the environment is the primary task as well as the obligation of the Company. In order to protect the environment ÉMÁSZ Nyrt. endeavors to prevent soil, air, ground water pollution, to the safe management of hazardous waste, to low noise emission and to protect the flora and fauna.
